Ismertető szöveg: Built between 1924 and 1931 on Jenő (Kismarty) Lechner's conception in Palatine style. The 600 m2 groundspace church is one of the largest volume Budapest buildings of the period. Architects and historians usually compare it to the Esztergom Cathedral because of its column-raised dome on the first place, though even well informed Budapest dwellers & goers used to miss this stunning building, located on a relatively empty square in Tisztviselotelep, 8th district of Budapest. After its 1977 refurbishment its second refurbishment is in progress without larger scaffoldings: roofs were repaired recently and the upper part of the building has been already whitewashed.
